Good size and length for a big. Great standing reach.
Very strong and physical with wide shoulders and strong lower body.
Moves fluidly but not super quick laterally. Not an explosive leaper
Very active, high motor athlete
Defense
Super long shot blocker and strong interior defender.
Protects the rim well but doesn’t get off the floor quick enough to block shots in help defense but can still make shots tougher.
Moves on the perimeter well to quick show and get back but can’t move his feet well enough to switch.
Strong defender in the post, uses lower body strength to keep his man away from the paint. Cannot slide his feet and anticipate a move from the offense.
Interior Scoring
Catch and finish scorer. Good reach and decent vertical to get the ball to the rim.
Active offensive rebounder. Gets a lot of shots near the rim from putbacks.
Fluid footwork in the post not great touch away from rim.
Does a good job of using angles and avoiding the defense at the rim.
Solid touch but only right around the basket.
Shooting
Shooting form looks decent but he hasn’t shot much recently. Quick, high release and a small jump on his shot.
Shot 44 threes in 572 minutes with CFBB in 2018-2019 and made 17 (38.6%) but has otherwise only shot 21 threes, making 3, in nearly 2,000 minutes in other leagues and seasons. No indication why he stopped shooting but there could be some potential there.
Driving
Very hesitant to do anything with the ball.
One (maybe two) dribble driver to the right on occasion but doesn’t create anything off the dribble.
Passing
Makes easy passes within the offense but can’t be trusted for much more.
