Physical Tools

Extremely tall and long standing 7′ 2″ with a nearly 8-foot wingspan

Skinny and frail body, typical for a player of his size.

Fast in the open court with surprising lateral movement and mobility for his size.

Very strong core. Has to get stronger especially in his lower body. Knee valgus is very pronounced on shots and blocks indicating weakness in upper legs and glutes.

Shooting

Very fluid motion with very impressive rhythm and overall speed for a shooter of his size.

Adding lower body strength should allow to be more aligned in the at the knees and cut down on his dip to speed up his shot even more.

Shoot off the dribble and movement with ease although balance can be an issue at times due to lower body issues.

Interior Scoring

Uses both hands well around the rim. His reach gives him a huge advantage to score at the basket.

Lacks the strength to hold and gain position at the rim. Very limited arsenal of post moves, he’s uncomfortable with his back to the basket.

Driving

Contact finishing is impressive thanks to his combination of length and handling, as well as his touch with either hand to finish the tougher looks.

Can use his long strides and reliable handle to get by slower defenders but his lack of strength affects his ability to get all the way to the rim at times which forces him to pass out.

Passing

Really solid vision and feel as a passer. Doesn’t make passes off the dribble but a high proportion of his catches come in advantage situations due to his size where he can quickly hit open teammates.

Attracts the attention of the defense with his ability to score at every level which he purposely takes advantage of to open up teammates.

Defense

ELITE shot blocker with high IQ, outlier reach, and superb timing.

Traditional rim protector who can camp around the rim and turn back shots but he can also track down shots from across the court, in transition, or even after his man drives.

Can handle himself around the perimeter if needed, can even guard wings full-time thanks to his lateral movement and length. Recovers well to get to shots when he’s man beats him to get what would be considered open against any other defender.

Positions and times rebounds well to maximize his physical tools.

Active off the ball looking to use his length to get to passes or help on drives.
